Hours of rough cutting
A 15-minute scripted video is two or three hours of hunting for the good take. Here it arrives already chosen, with the alternatives one click away.
Scripted rough cut · for Windows
YU Editor syncs your cameras and audio, transcribes, picks the best take of every paragraph and hands you a clean timeline with every alternative. Finish here or in Premiere and DaVinci.

How it works
You shoot and you decide. The engine takes the boring part: syncing, transcribing, comparing takes and assembling the first version.
A walkthrough with real footage: import, send, receive the cut and export it to your editor.
Drop the card folder and your external audio. The app sorts camera, screen and assets, joins split recordings and syncs everything to the audio.
Every paragraph of the script is matched to what you actually said. If you repeated a sentence five times, the engine compares the takes and keeps the good one.
You see the price in credits before confirming. Only the audio and a light muted review copy travel; the server syncs, transcribes and cuts. You can close the app: the cut will be waiting.
The cut arrives as a document: you see what plays, what was removed and why. Swap a take with a click and export the XML to Premiere or DaVinci, or a direct MP4.
What it saves you
A 15-minute scripted video is two or three hours of hunting for the good take. Here it arrives already chosen, with the alternatives one click away.
The server receives FLAC audio and a muted 480p copy for review. The original video never leaves your machine.
Each paragraph of the script is matched with what you actually said. Improvised material is not lost: it is set aside, with the reason.
Several cameras and several sessions sync on their own. Vlog footage from outside the studio goes where it belongs, at a little, medium or a lot.
The XML carries every alternative and marker: you can switch takes in your editor without going back.
The cut is a document: you see what plays, what was removed and why, and you change it with a click or Ctrl+Z.
Who it is for
You record to camera with a text in front of you and repeat until it works. The rough cut is the boring part: the engine takes it.
You get the timeline by paragraphs with every alternative in your NLE. You start with the fine work, not with hunting for takes.

An honest comparison
| Cloud editors | YU Editor | |
|---|---|---|
| Your raw footage | You upload the whole video to their servers. | Only the audio and a muted 480p copy. The video stays on your PC. |
| The script | Text-based editing of the transcript. | The script as the skeleton: each paragraph with its takes and the best one chosen. |
| Multicam and sessions | Depends on the plan. | Sync of every source and several sessions, out of the box. |
| Your video editor | You finish in their cloud or export without alternatives. | XML with every take and marker for Premiere and DaVinci; direct MP4 if you prefer. |
| How you pay | Monthly subscription, whether you use it or not. | Credit packs that never expire: you pay for the videos you make. |

No. The heavy analysis runs on the server. Your PC needs to play video and prepare the material, like any lightweight editor.
The engine infers the script from what you said (retakes collapsed, chatter removed) and does its usual job. Whenever you want, paste your own.
